About Sound Check Electronics

Sound Check Electronics started life back in 1995 as Paul’s little side hustle. He’d already been knee-deep in circuit boards since he was 17, and with a dad (Colin Robertson) who spent decades fixing electronic organs, it was probably inevitable. One thing led to another, and soon Paul was the go-to guy for anything with keys, speakers, or wires that had decided to give up.

By the early 2000s, he was spending less time dabbling and more time buried in keyboards, digital pianos, and amps – the sort of gear that tends to break right before a gig. What began as “a bit of extra work” turned into a workshop that musicians actually rely on.

Fast-forward to 2015 and Mandy stepped in as the self-appointed Chief Communicator and will most likely be the first person you hear from – either via text or email. She wrangles the admin, bookings, emails, invoices, and keeps the website alive – basically all the things Paul would rather not think about while he’s elbow-deep in an digital piano.

Now, between Paul’s 30-plus years of experience and Mandy’s organisational superpowers, Sound Check runs as a small, family business with one simple goal: fix the gear and keep the music going (with as little fuss as possible).
